Salvaging a series

- It's not surprising that the Nats made a few changes to their lineup after a couple of ugly losses. But how inspiring was a lineup that featured D'Angelo Jimenez as the leadoff hitter? Pretty inspiring, it turns out: Jimenez went 3-for-5 and batted in three runs, while Ryan Church, getting the start in center, slugged a three-run homer. Jason Bergmann shrugged off a tough start to pitch six innings and pick up the win. Nats beat the Braves, 7-4. (Box score)
- Jimenez got the start at short in place of Felipe Lopez, who did appear late in the game. Good luck figuring out how Lopez felt spending most of the game on the bench since he has continued his boycott of the media that started in late August. "I'll talk to you the last day," he told reporters yesterday.
- Jon Rauch, who pitched the eighth inning yesterday. leads the majors in appearances and has set a franchise record for holds, picking up his 26th yesterday in his 78th appearance. Rauch, though, is critical of the number of blown saves he's racked up this year as well as his ERA (which inched higher yesterday when he gave up a solo homer).
- Good news: Ryan Zimmerman did not commit any throwing errors yesterday, after making four in the previous two games. "It's not in my head or anything," he said of his throwing problems. Zimmerman also broke an 0-for-13 slump at the plate with a solo homer in the ninth inning. Also: Ryan Langerhans said it was "strange" to be in the visiting clubhouse at Turner Field, not that his season has been anything close to normal.
- The Nats need a center fielder who can hit for power, says Mark Zuckerman, and that means an expensive pursuit of Andruw Jones in the offseason. "Kasten and Co. have insisted all along they plan to start acting like a big-market club as soon as they move into their new ballpark. Big-market clubs go after Andruw Jones."
- The South Florida Sun-Sentinel recaps the last year in the life of Dmitri Young, who makes his home in south Florida. "Everything came crashing down last year," Young said. "I've regained control now."

Anti allergic
Hi all. The excellence of a gift lies in its appropriateness rather than in its value.
I am from Tunisia and also now teach English, give true I wrote the following sentence: "The focus would be on the rs crore anti allergic market which is growing at per cent every year."
